Open Mobile Alliance (OMA)
The Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) is the leading industry forum for developing market-driven, interoperable mobile service enablers. The OMA’s mission is to ensure service interoperability across devices, geographies, service providers, operators and networks, while allowing businesses to compete through innovation and differentiation. OMA was formed in June 2002 by nearly 200 companies including the world's leading mobile operators, device and network suppliers, information technology companies and content and service providers. FusionOne's Principal Engineer, Leighton Ridgard, has served two terms as Chair of the OMA's Data Synchronization Work Group.
Mobile Data Association
The Mobile Data Association (MDA) is a trade body promoting the uses and benefits of wireless value-added services, through industry and business press, conferences, seminars and the web. The MDA stimulates the use of mobile data both by attracting new users, and by providing a forum for the industry to meet and share information on technical and business issues.
Qualcomm (BREW)
FusionOne supports QUALCOMM's Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless™ (BREW)applications platform for wireless devices. FusionOne's SyncML-based technology is offered on the BREW platform, enabling Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) carriers to provide their customers with the ability to synchronize data on their mobile phones and other wireless devices via FusionOne's OTA (over-the-air) sync service.
Symbian Connectivity Partner Program
As a member of the Connectivity Partner Program, FusionOne provides SyncML-based server and client technology to Symbian licensees and wireless carriers. FusionOne's Internet synchronization service enables partners to provide end-to-end synchronization solutions to their customers, ensuring interoperability with wireless information devices and fast introduction of new functionality to the Symbian platform.
